Description:The Missouri State Library, Library Development Division seeks a skilled, motivated, innovative, and highly organized individual to serve as LSTA Grants Officer. This position is responsible for providing leadership and technical assistance in the areas of grant application and administration of the Library and Services Technology Act (LSTA) federal grant program to meet Missouri library service goals and comply with federal requirements.
Responsibilities:The Grants Officer facilitates the development of a broad five-year plan as well as more specific single year plans for how funds will be used. Projects must address LSTA priorities and Missouri State Library goals and can be statewide projects or competitive grants to individual libraries. This position takes the lead in the application review, award and monitoring of all competitive subgrants with assistance from the Library Development team. This individual provides training on grant application and management with a strong emphasis placed on outcome-based evaluation reporting. A more complete list of job responsibilities is at
Minimum Qualifications:A Masters Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program, or a Masters Degree in Business, or other applicable area is required. A minimum of three years of experience in a responsible, professional position, either as a department or program director, director of a library, or equivalent experience is desired.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience or formal education in long range planning, financial analysis and budgeting, evaluation processes preferred.
Salary & Benefits:$1,782.50 to $1,883 semi-monthly
